Hotel Moderno is situated in Lista di Spagna, just two minutes walk from Santa Lucia railway station along this main thoroughfare.

From Venice’ Marco Polo airport, bus number 5 should be taken to Piazzale Roma in just 15 minutes.

Guests can reach Hotel Moderno from Piazzale Roma, only 0.5km from the hotel and the main transport terminal in Venice, with public boat (vaporetti) number 1, 52 or 82. Guests should disembark at Santa Lucia Station (also known as ‘Ferrovia’). The hotel is 2 minutes walking on the main street (Lista di Spagna), on the left hand side (No.154b), without crossing any bridge. Both Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia Station are situated at the top of the famous Grand canal, on opposite sides of the bank.

Hotel Moderno can also be reached from the artificial island and car parking area known as ‘Tronchetto’ with public boat (vaporetti) number 82.

Check-in is actually through Hotel Moderno’s adjoining sister hotel, the Hotel Zecchini. The entrance to access the Modern Hotel’s rooms is via a typical Venetian ‘calle’, only approximately 80cm wide.
